Ed Mattioli, Clubhouse Manager
Ed is the son of one of the three original founders of Dande Farms. After 25 successful years in warehouse management, Ed decided to take a full time role in the business beginning in 2009. The family’s goal is to continue the 50 year tradition of providing an excellent value in golf in a meticulously maintained setting.
Ed, his wife Cornelia and their children, sister Carol Wagner and her daughter and all of the staff look forward to providing a positive experience when you golf and dine at Dande Farms Country Club.
Carol Wagner
Carol is a graduate from Akron Central High School and Alfred State College with a 2-year degree in business. Carol is married to Wayne Wagner and has a daughter in college.
She was hired by Xerox Corporation in Rochester, NY in 1968 and began a long career that expanded from Employment Clerk to Sales Rep, Sales Training Manager, Sales Manager, Negotiations Manager and Product Manager. That career took her all over the country with Xerox. One of the best things about working for a great company like Xerox is the training and in-house education programs.
After 35 years with Xerox, she was able to take early retirement. However, instead of retiring, she now manages the overall operations of Dande Farms Country Club, a small family owned business.
It is our pleasure to be able to welcome each golfer to Dande Farms and she encourages you to contact her with any questions you may have regarding the course or your requirements for a future golf tournament.
Jim DeYoung, Golf Course Superintendent
Jim started at Dande Farms Country Club as a teenager. After attending the University of Massachusetts studying Turf Management, he became Superintendent in the Spring of 1978.
Jim is an active member in the Western New York Golf Course Superintendent Association. He was President from 1983-1985.
He was voted Superintendent of the Year in 2008 by his fellow superintendents, the highlight of his 30 year career as Golf Course Superintendent at Dande Farms Country Club.
Being Superintendent has been very rewarding in spite of the challenges of his job. Jim and his crew work diligently to keep the course in the superb condition that our patrons have come to expect and that Jim demands.
Jim is entering his 33rd year at Dande Farms Country Club going into the 2011 season. Jim is a lifelong resident of Akron, NY.
